By "purge hose", do you mean the PCV hose on the drivers side of the engine, going from the cylinder cover to the intake manifold?

For people reading this from a google search. Just had these two codes on my 08. Replacing the gas cap seal fixed it.

My 2006 Tacoma was throwing speed error codes a couple of years ago. The south Atlanta dealer changed the speed sensors and that didn't fix it. I saw a post here about replacing the whole meter panel. I suggested they do that, they did and it was fixed. Now, it's throwing the p0445 and p0441 codes. They replaced the charcoal canister for around $400 and the purge valve. Three days later, its on again with same codes. I can recommend a little widget called the Ultragauge. I installed one several years ago in my Taco and it has proven to be very useful showing lots of diagnostic stuff. I'm going to try tightening the gas cap and clearing the codes to see what happens.

Am having same 2 codes replaced canister(used), purge solenoid, gas cap. Smoke test showed a leak at the gas filler neck, but the holes seemed to be factory. I am completely stuck and do not know what to change next.

Pull off the evap valve thingy that bolts on the driver side of the intake.

Blow in it. The valve should be shut and you can't blow through it.

If you can blow it, replace it.

Check the hoses, probably replace them as well.

    Maybe $30 total fix.

I have both of these codes and just put a flatbed on the truck. I went to fuel up and fuel burped out of the hose near the tank. Could I have got fuel trapped in the evap line. I tightened my gas cap and check all lines and they are connected?
