My throwout bearing started chirping in my 2018 TRD off road at around 100K miles or so. After some reading, it seamed to be a not so unheard of issue that can linger on for a long time without failure, so I decided I would just live with it. Currently at 140K miles now and in the last few weeks it seems to be getting a little worse. Not completely obnoxious yet noise wise, but it's starting to get there.
I've always owned manual transmissions, and have never had a problem getting around 250K miles on an original clutch, and my plan was to just deal with this throwout bearing noise when it was time to replace the clutch. I still plan to leave it be, but if it gets much worse, I might have to deal with it, and at my current mileage, if i have to drop the transmission, even though I do not need a clutch yet I figured I'd be crazy to not replace it at this point.
Are there after market clutches anyone can recommend for a 3rd gen? I had seen the URD stuff mentioned on here, but for whatever reason they do not seem to be offering them for the 3rd gens any longer. I see the Aisin kits on Rock auto , just woundering if there is a better option?

    Clutch advise - 6sp, 2012, supercharger

The OP ordered a LCE clutch, then bailed, went with URD. I have no experience with LC Engineering, can't recommend one way or the other. They seem to have kits in stock.

URD doesn't do the 3g clutches any longer although they have indicated it's possible again in the future if they can work out the manufacturer & tooling challenges which are not minor.

Phoenix Friction linked above has OE spec clutches in stock last i checked, and they indicated the 3 higher grade versions (a stage 2 & two versions of stage 3) may be available by special order, so contact them directly to see what's possible.

it's too bad, because the URD ones are fantastic. i have a stage 2 and love it. and I'm on my 3rd or maybe 4th TOB, can't remember. but that's another story.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I had reached out to URD when the throwout bearing noise first started, and that's when I learned they no longer offered the 3G clutches. They were also the ones who went into detail in describing the issue on why the throwout bearing noise is a very common issue to the design and suggested if I could live with it that it wasn't worth addressing.

Any body have any luck with the phoenix frication unit in a 3rd gen Tacoma? Looks like the options are rather limited, with it being phoenix or Aisin at the moment.

Also, any on have any experience with actually dropping the transmission and tackling a clutch replacement in a 3rd gen?
