Yeah, the only throwout bearing available is from Toyota.

I am dreading tackling this myself. Transmission stuff scares the shit out of me.

Now that I'm gonna have it out, I'm thinking about just doing the dual cases as well.

After 7 hours of cussing, busted knuckles, and lots of beer and nicotine, the transmission was removed, URD Stage 2 clutch and TORQUE-U HD flywheel installed, throwout bearing replaced, and everything put back together, the results are in after 100 miles of test driving.

The stock clutch and flywheel setup is garbage and way under built. The new clutch and heavy flywheel paired with OVTUNE 1.05 gave me a raging hard-on. The shifting is so smooth, idle is smooth, the truck doesn't shake at all, RPM's are steady, and there is no bucking in 1st gear when leaving from a stop. I am a happy happy man.

    Trashed stock throwout bearing:

    Bearing is thrashed. Wtf lol.

    Nice clutch, that’s awesome

If there is no pilot bearing, what is there?

No pilot bearing on these with the design of the rear main seal housing (?)

The TOB went from making a slight chirp noise to completely fucked in 3 days.

Does the URD clutch come with their TOB? I’m certain I read somewhere they did and a member had an issue with it, so they had to use the Toyota OEM.

Whichever the case, I’m seriously considering buying the URD stage 3 clutch with HD flywheel and selling my originals, only have 5500 miles on my truck, but would be affordable assurance since I have a friend who will install.

The new URD HD Flywheel is no joke. Have extra hand available to lift and hold it in place while you get a few bolts started.

Turns the same speed as every thing else until your foot is on the clutch and you in gear it basically is nothing more that a support for the input shaft and just about ever thing that is not Asian just had a bushing and in his case it has no bearing any way. it's a 6 speed.

Yep old thread that needs a bit of additional information for those who may be searching.
The 6-speed has never had a pilot bearing or bushing from at least 2005, and a bit before. Rather the design is a large bearing on the input shaft near the front casing and counter supported near the end of this shaft.
