Thule Aeroblades on 2nd Gen Tacoma Access cab

Thule says the Aeroblades are not approved for use on the 2013 Toyota Tacoma Access cab. They list the regular, extended, and double. Apparently they are not aware of the access cab. Now emailing back and forth with CS. I included links from Toyota website calling it an access cab.

Today Thule fit engineers say there were four cab styles in 2013 for the Tacoma.

I did the research and spoke to the fit engineer that does the fitting for this specific vehicle. If it is a access cab then it is only a single bar fit. If you want to do the extended cab fit that is up to you however if any damage is done to the vehicle or rack is will not be covered under warranty.

This vehicle has a single bar fit, and is designed to be used either on its own or in conjunction with another product. i.e 422XT Xsporter, 500 /

I replied with a photo. And a few more words. Asking for a supervisor was some of it.

I got a call today from a supervisor. He agreed that the fit was correct. He is going to check with the fit engineers about correcting the cab choices, and that will allow the use of 2 bars on the Access cab.

Edit & Update from the supervisor:

I have done a little bit of a research and what I thought is correct. The Tacoma Extended cab and the Tacoma Access cab are the same cab, just that we worded it differently than Toyota from 2005 to 2015.

So I can confirm you that the KIT1511 fits your pick-up truck and is meeting our safety standards.
