Curious if anyone who has gone with the Xsportster or Outpost bed rack could share their experience. Worried that just the two crossbars isn't enough support for a RTT. Most bed racks look like they provide a lot more. Thanks!

The Yakima Outpost lists a 500lb on-road and 300lb off-road dynamic weight limits. Thule lists a 450lb weigh limit with no clarification on on-road vs off-road. A standard 2-3 person RTT shouldn't weigh more than 200lbs. Either should be more than adequate for that.

If I had to choose one, the Yakima Outpost looks like a nicer rack that appears to be designed for RTT's.

I am looking to buy an outpost. To replace my existing two bar rack and free up some more storage space. My cvt summit series sits on two bars now with no ill effects. DSC04073.jpg
