Hey all, long time lurker, new user to this forum. I've been reading the stickies and posts in the suspension section of this forum for a little over a year now and just completed the installation of my OME lift: 885X and nitros in the front, toytec AAL and nitros in the back.

Although the install went well and the taco seems to be driving better than ever, whenever I go over a speed up (in the 5-15mph range) I hear a thump after the rear axle goes over the bump. I have checked the U-bolts, leaf pack, and all over nuts and bolts that were touched during the installation and everything seems tightened down and good to go... however, the sound persists.

Anyone know what could be causing this? It sounds like a pretty hefty thump. If I need to provide more info just ask, thanks.

Did some more experimenting, removed the sway bar to make sure it wasn't the issue. Had my friend drive over speedbumps while I stood on the side of the road and the clunk is definitely coming from the rear axle.

Any ideas? I'm starting to become concerned that the sound is the nitro sport shocks fully extending, but that shouldn't be happening at slow speeds with the proper tsb and leaf....

Is it one side or both sides of the leaf packs that are making the thump. I received a bad nitrogen sport brand new in the box that was defective. It made thumping and popping noise at speeds of 5 mph to 35 mph. Called ARB and they sent two new ones to replace the one defective one. Hopefully if it is the shocks, it's still under warranty.

The only other thing I can think of is something is loose. I assume you've double checked all the bolts?

I triple checked all the nuts and bolts, I was hoping that would be the issue that something just needed to be tightened up a little bit.

Having trouble isolating which side (if not both) is causing the sound, it is definitely the rear, just cannot figure out which side. I'll get back with more information soon.

I've got the nitro sports in the rear but with Dakar leafs....no thumping for me.
