So this tire popped up on my radar. They are an aggressive all terrain/hybrid with a 45k mile warranty. They are made in Thailand similar to many other middle of the pack tires but they are very low cost. They have an operation based out of Houston. I emailed them about the actual weights of the AT-R and they got back to me twice within a day so there is someone paying attention domestically. The Thunderer Track Grip mud terrains have been around for a few years and have lots of pretty glowing reviews.

I like that they make an SL and LT. If anyone has any opinions or experience please chime in.

265 SL versions start at about $110 a tire and go up to about $135 for the LT in 285 sizes.

    265/70r17 - 44.11 lbs
    265/75r16 - 43.41 lbs
    Lt265/70r17 - 50.60 lbs
    Lt265/75/16 - 50.12 lbs
    LT 285/70r17 - 54.34 lbs
    LT 285/75r16 - 56.32 lbs

reminds me of the ST Maxx but lighter, need a test pilot to give them a go.

Wow nice looking tire I was researching these aswell. The thunderer M/T are a good tire aswell but I dont off road every weekend so an A/T is what I'm going for. Ranger A/T looks perfect. Dirt nation off road has a review on the m/t.

I actually run these tires. They're a tad bit quieter than Ko2's, have really good street manners, really the only complaint I have is the lugs are so deep and it can lead to it slinging gravel that gets lodged in there.

I ended up getting these today and so far I’m very impressed. I had nitto trail grapplers and these are so smooth on the road

A local tire store sells them. Don't know anyone who owns them but they look decent and the tire store says they haven't had any complaints.

I can say the MT tires are loud, not a everyday tire, but on my old hunting truck they sound great. Tread is super deep

I have about 1k miles on them. I have the 285/75r16 LT Es. I run them at 30 psi rear and 32/33 in the front to get good pavement contact otherwise they ball out. I was running them in mud this last weekend and was very impressed. Most noticeable was when I got back onto pavement. I expected them to fling mud for the next 1/2 mile. But within 25-50 feet no more slinging, like a MT tire. Something to be said about the hybrid design.

Old post but I have the Thunderer Ranger on my 97 Tacoma 4x4 and the one negative I have is they are not good on wet roads. It may be my truck being light, but I've slid sideways a few times going around wet curves while not going that fast. Other than that, the tire is fine. Has a little road noise but not bad. Curious if anyone else experiences poor performance on rainy wet pavement.

I died a bit inside when I heard tires made in Thailand are not good on wet roads.
