Backup flush mount lights not easy to install. Still working on my first cut. Just using a cut off wheel, jigsaw and a dremel. Maybe a little flap disc action in there too.

Second cut was much easier after establishing a "method", which involved basically every cutting and grinding tool I had in my arsenal.

yeah, I had to buy a couple of additional tools for this project though:
    Jigsaw
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-6...-with-SPEEDMATCH-Technology-JS651L1/203146378

    Step bit:
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ep-Black-Oxide-Drill-Bit-48-89-9204/204312639

Carbide tip for Dremel (which was probably the most fun to use):
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dremel-...eramics-Plastics-and-Hard-Wood-9903/202263217

    Dremel cut off wheels:
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dremel-EZ-Lock-Metal-Mandrel-Starter-Kit-6-Piece-EZ406/100484370

So I spent.... way too much to install $25 worth of backup lights LOL

Dude that carbide tip is fucking money for tight shit. I used it to ream out weld spatter on my recessed skid holes and grind back some welds when I pulled my upper ball joints.

Yeah that tip is money for sure, I'm glad dremel made something like that because i was looking for some kind of die grinder and was having no luck finding one locally

Finally done. Also slapped another coat of satin black on the bumper - last time I painted it, I left it sitting out overnight and the morning dew really screwed it up. Looks great with the fresh coat.

Also this is really random but the shackle mounts were basically 3 plates stacked together and no way to weld/grind in the eyelet area, so to prevent rust and gunk from getting in the cracks I just slathered some JB kwik all around in there.

So glad to find a tacoma completely plastidipped! Love your truck. I have a 2002 with an ARE shell that I just rolled over 600,000 miles in. I have the clear coat peeling and was wanting to plastidip probably matte black. How long will the plastidip last? Thanks

I'm probably about to redo mine. Just spray over the existing coat of plastidip. I think it's been like 4 years? 6 years? I'm not sure
