same here, I'll have to wait for it to come in before I know for sure. I think the oval looks cleaner for now though.

Toyota. Gives it that landcruiser look.

Tips have been great so far dude, thank you again. Loosening the PS hard lines were key to getting the compressor out. Also saw that your compressor also has studs on it for the lines compared to the other guys guide. Those made it extra difficult to get out. So far only snapped a bolt that mounts the condenser and the bolt on the left side of the condenser that mounts the line on. With that snapped I needed to source a new line because there was no way it was coming off. I will be very liberal with the anti seize when I re-install.

I also found it odd that my compressor didn't have a drop of oil in it. I guess maybe it leaked? The system hasn't been used in 3 years but I would assume the oil should have still stayed inside? Not sure.

Hmm, yeah I'll bet the compressor leaked the oil out and that's what made it blow up. From what I've read, the compressor will slowly leak oil from the shaft seal to keep it lubricated, but I'm not sure that applies to the Toyota compressors or not. Either way, some people believe the AC should be run from time to time, even in winter, to keep the seals all lubricated. Some of the seals may have gotten old and dried out and caused an oil leak.

Interesting, good to know. Also FUCK the lower compressor bolt closest to the ADD tube. That bitch would not break loose for me for the life of it and I was afraid I was going to round out the bolt head. How did you end up torquing those?

I don't recall having any issues at all with any of the bolts. I may have sprayed some PB blaster on them beforehand? But I can't remember for sure. I think I may have used a ratcheting wrench instead of a socket driver and tapped it or kicked it with my foot lol

How much difference in braking with Tundra equipment I understand from another post that u have to change rubber line in front.

90% improvement. You don't have to change any lines if you know how to drill out the banjo bolt. Just need new copper washers.

Im thinking about doing this with basic auto parts store hardware and premium soft pads. I redid my 79 Bronco with wheel hubs and all off an 88, 350 that was rolled. Back in the day. The pads are what really made the difference. I'm guessing u had to change out the backing plate for the drums?

I didn't touch the drums. The tundra conversion is only for the front brakes. Just front brake swap alone was enough to make a huge difference in stopping power. Rear discs aren't worth the extra 10% improvement for all the work involved.

I think there is a thread or two out there that will tell you which ones will/won't fit. 15s definitely won't work, but 16s are mixed.

I'm going to leave it, just because it would be a pain to derp it, due to the way the adhesive backing kept the letters in perfect alignment and me not wanting to fuck it up. I think it looks good the way it is, kind of a shiny silver, not quite chrome.

Should be fine as long as they have sufficient offset/backspacing

Exactly, I'm gonna need to do some research on that
