Ok I'm new with Toyota's but have spent most of my life fixing cars and trucks for myself and are kids.
My new Tacoma since mile 5 when I got it make a tic tic sound while running at an idle
kind of like a lifter tic or like my old 06 mustang gt 4.6 tic with that timing chain problem the 4.6l have.
I am at 400+ miles so is this a break-in thing or take it back to the dealer thing or is this a common thing?
I can say it is related to rpm's as you increase the rpm so does the tic tic till the engine drowns out the noise
So being new should there not be any TIC TIC noise ??

I talked the the dealer about the navigation and map button if you want these features you have to buy the Tacoma Pro or have your tacoma custom built.
As it is, I can only install toyota-alexa nothing else will install in the app section on the radio
the dealer told me it is there new safety feature?? You have to use your phone.
so digging into it, to use toyota nav apps and all that, you have to pay a subscription fee now.

Ticking is normal... and your dealer is an idiot.

Hook up Apple or Android nav on your phone by plugging the phone into the USB in the dash, and the map button works for that.

The Toyota nav is available on more than the Pro, and Toyota doesn't do custom builds. Go somewhere else because that guy/gal is a complete dipshit.
