    New tacoma owner. I have a 2010 double cab longbed prerunner. There is this tick in the engine compartment, it is driving me crazy! it sounds like a tiny exhaust leak or a knock. i cant stand it! is the way the engine sounds or maybe i have a small mechanicalproblem.

    yes, some say its a valve, some say its the injectors, but it's there. same in my 07 and 09

    Eh you'll get used to it. It's still quieter than the ticking my Twin Turbo Stealth and G35 did... :D

    Yeah, at idle the PWM valve resonates against the plastic it's mounted to. You can hear it if it's quiet, although some have reported it's pretty loud in their trucks. Rubber washers helped mine considerably...
