Correct. I plan to change oil more often.
But my first concern remains the air filter (the truck works 80 % on unpaved roads).

    think you're correct.
Just for testing, I'll look for some synthetic 5w40 or 5w50....
    I'll let you know.
The same for me : the coldest I have seen here in 9 years is 0° C, and it occurs once or twice a year... I'm from Europ and that is not cold for me.
But the summer last 6 months very very warm...
    Thanks

More frequent oil changes could not hurt.

Automotive engineers claim tolerances in newer engines are much smaller. The greatest threat to one of these newer engines is the first couples of seconds that the engine runs when you start it up cold.

I would stick with the viscosity in your owners manual.

I've checked on Internet the climate in Phenix.
Fairly similar to the climate conditions in the far west of Paraguay.
If people in South Arizona use 5w30 in their trucks without issue, so it will be good for me...
    Thanks again

I would skip the wahable filter (kn) they filter worse. 10w30 is just fine.

For air filter smaller micron size the better for filtering.
