No bug deflector. I've seen all the issues with wind noise due to weatherstripping so it could possibly be related.

I do not have a block heater.

Do you have a soft tonneau cover that might be flapping?

Mine does this too when traveling over 70 mph. I can only hear it when I'm next to the concrete barrier on the highway. I've checked tires for rocks/nails, loose stickers and wires, inner fender liners. When underneath I noticed that damn chain hanging through the center of the spare tire. Zip tied that shit out of the way last night and haven't tried getting on the highway yet. Will report back.

    ****FIXED*****

Well, after F@#$king with this for a week “and many hours” I figured this shit out. The numbnuts at Discount Tire put a clip on weight on the back lip of my rim in a half ass manner and the vibration caused by rotation at speed was causing it to tap on the wheel. Sounded just like a huge rock in one of the tread blocks.

I'm going through the same thing right now my truck is at its 2nd dealer ship and theyve had it for 3 days not including the 3 days the other dealer had it for and it sounds band go like what you have. @ 120km/hr it sounds like a rock in the tire and it's been driving me nuts. Thanks for all the info

I'm having this issue, too! 2013 Tacoma and at about 75mph there's a ticking noise that almost sounds like it's coming from behind the steering column. It isn't a rock/nail/screw and it doesn't sound like it's coming from the tires. No noise at lower speeds and no obvious performance change. Just a metronome on the highway.
