Look at the clearance of the fan shroud. And, under acceleration loads, the motor mounts flex. Maybe just too close on one side or another. Btw, did you replace the motor mounts? What condition are the old ones if use didn’t? Just a thought.

@Boneretreiver my fan kinda ate my fan shroud so i do not have one. But i did not replace the motor mounts they looked fine but i know it was hell trying to align it back right to put it in.

I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 2wd 5 speed with 196,000 miles on it. Starts up and preforms great everyday, except for one day. I drove it for 6-7 hours headed into the mountains, let it sit 2 days and then it was cranking way too slow to even try to start. If anyone has something on that that would be cool.

My truck also has the ticking…

My truck ticks when I accelerate but if I start to let out of the gas it fades as I let out of the gas. On the other hand I can’t hear it after say about 2500rpm(there also has to be a load on the motor, meaning you’re driving and doesn’t do it so much when I’m standing still)I think I have further pinpointed the tick to the driver door side of the dash. It kinda sounds like something rotating and ticking in the dash

The EVAP Purge Selnoid ticks, especially loud when the rubber mount breaks and the Selnoid contacts a body panel.

Exhaust leak, I’d bet money on it.
