All right, so I just got back from the dealership and they cannot diagnose his problem. There is a ticking sound coming from the driver side dash or a steering wheel that I cannot identify. I have attempted to look by the foot pedals but it’s intermittent and is not constant and he won’t have any idea. Only happens when driving not idle

You have a valid but but yes I did that and it’s still there. Also can confirm it’s not the door pillar because I’ve already wedged some foam in there the first year I had it.

Access cab or crew cab, and do you notice the noise more when the outside temperature is colder?

Well started about a two weeks ago and the temps where 20°F now it’s 60°F and doesn’t seem like weather has a play.
    It’s a crew cab

Have you check under the hood and make sure every thing is stowed away?

We don’t have the directional advantage you do listening to video sounds. Are you sure it’s not something from the engine compartment, maybe something as simple as an unsecured hood prop rod?
Here’s a tool that may help isolate the area the sound is coming from, though I would have a passenger use it as you drive.

Sorry, can't help. I had a ticking issue with my access cab that was worse when it was cold. Turned out to be the access cab door panels hitting a metal support bracket. I covered the brackets with gorilla tape, bent them slightly to put more pressure on the panel, and installed some sound deadening material.

In the video there might be some hints. It didn't occur while accelerating, but when you got to constant speed, it seems to start. It almost seemed in sync with the bumps in the road. The tick loudness also seemed in tune with the camera bounce.

Really sounds like there is something loose that takes very little effort to swing, roll, or bounce into another part. Accelerating pins it against or moves it away from the contact for a momentary time.

Could have something fallen down the defrost vents? No idea what else it could be.

Could you use a stethoscope to trace where it is loudest?

my windows make weird clicking noises from the cab flexing. it's worse when cold. I sprayed some silicone around all the trim and it helped a little bit. check the steering shaft/linkage in the engine bay and see if there is any play in it.

Well, it's been over a month and I wanted to update everyone.

So I was approaching my truck yesterday and it was a fairly windy day. I started to hear these knocking sounds! I was like sh!t now what could be going on with my truck making yet another sound. I end up standing near it for a few minutes periodically hearing the knocking sound. I follow it the best I could with my ear. Low and behold the engine guard flap above the driver-side tire had come out. The damn plastic piece used to hold it in was tapping on the frame! I can't believe that was it. No more constant knocking in my truck!
