    Hey guys,
On the passenger side of my 2nd gen Tacoma, there is an occasional ticking sound that sounds like it’s coming from under the dash where the airbag is located. Bumps in the road seem to make it worse. Wondering if anyone has a diagnosis for the problem. Thanks!

Definitely intermittent. I’ll drive one day without hearing anything, and the next it will create noise every time I drive.

Next time it does it mess with your A/C controls and see if it changes/quits, if it does then take a look behind the glovebox and see which one is ticking. If it doesn't then we will have to check elsewhere.

Couple things I figured out the past two days:
-Doesn’t seem to tick when I start it up in the morning but gets progressively worse throughout the day
-Messing with the AC controls doesn’t seem to affect it at all
Wondering if it has anything to do with temp outside? Let me know if you have any suggestions for me. Thanks.

When it is ticking place your head over by the passenger side under the dash and locate the place the ticking is coming from.

Pull your air filter out and check for leafs in or around the fan
