Ticking sound whe switched into 4x4.

I started my truck this morning and the 4x4 light was blinking. The selectors was in the 2H position. Tried selecting 4H and back yo 2H but it did not engage nor dis engage and the light was still blinking. Tried a few different things until finally I turned the selector to 4H and turned the engine off. Then started it in 4H and switched the selector to 2H and the light turned off. I shifted into drive and switched into 4H and it engauged with a solid 4x4 light but there was a ticking sound coming from the shifter. I could feel it in my hand as well. I slowly drove forward and the speed of the ticking increased and decreased with rpm's. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you!! Looking forward to working with you all. Merry Christmas!

Sounds like an actuator is stuck/having trouble engaging/disengaging? Either ADD or Tcase
