Any ideas for tying heavy stuff down (including the folded seats) in the rear seat area of a 2021 Tacoma double cab?

You know no one wants that tied up body rolling around in the backseat. A back seat tie down point would be just the thing to keep that from happening.:D

My girlfriend likes to be cuffed to the door handles.

    The wife prefers the bed.

I think there are baby seat anchors somewhere that might be useable.

1/4x20 threaded holes in the platform. I secure my fridge, tools, air compressor and a few other things.

You know, I contacted a dealer about that product (Rear Seat Delete) and they couldn't tell me what it's made of or or how it's attached to the vehicle. Maybe you can!

Idea just popped in my head. Maybe you could start with the bolts that holds the driver and passenger seat down. Go to the hardware store and get some sort of metal plate with a hole or hook to put down there.

I'm afraid I'm not seeing in the photo the threaded holes in the platform or what you attach your fridge and air compressor to.

Also, what is holding the Rear Seat Delete platform down?

my version can be left unbolted for easy removal or can be bolted to the rear floor bolts of the front seats via an L bracket. Personally, mine isn’t bolted in place and I have not had issues with it moving around. I have all my festools strapped to it and it stays in place.

I think there's some level of safety concern about having what is basically a big plywood box in a vehicle not being bolted down, epecially if you're attaching coolers and tools and other heavy stuff to the top of the box itself. I'm thinking in say a collision or a rollover - the occupants are going to get creamed by all this junk flying around.

Safety was the original main reason for my question about tying stuff down.

So then bolt it down like he said you can.

Are the tiedowns in your photo of the top of your box screw eyes (have a screw on the backside) or eyebolts (washer and nut on the backside)?

Also, are you saying there are threaded holes in bottom of the box or the bottom of the truck cab? If in the truck, are they not already in use, i.e., not already being used for factory bolts? Or do you mean the holes for the seat bolts?
