Hey guys, I got a few pictures attached. I got a 6 inch BDS kit on my 2005 Tacoma, and am having some problems with some linkages in the front end rubbing on the inner part of my 35x12.5 tires. How can I fix this? Is their a beefed up tie rod replacement kit I can buy? Ive looked around and haven't been able to see anything beefier and aftermarket. I know the tie rods will just keep going even after replacing them because of the large tires.

Any input would Help ! I checked out allprooffroad and looked at a sway bar linkage kit or something along those lines , https://www.allprooffroad.com/05tacomafrontsuspension/268
Im wondering if this would solve my problem?

That's your sway bar end links, removing the swaybar would be the fastest, cheapest, easiest fix. If not I would think you need some 1/2" wheel spacers.

Ok, Il definiley look into the spacers. I had some included I believe with my rims, but they were the wrong size and hangup. And removing the sway bar would help? Is that safe? Sorry im a total n00b when it comes to this stuff! thanks !:)

It's safe yeah, gives you more travel off road but correct me if I'm wrong, more body roll on pavement? As far as I noticed with my 4runner it was just about the same, just a little more lean on corners.

I would say the majority of people after lifting their vehicles remove it and keep it off, the only downfall is you have more body roll while turning at higher speeds on the highway. I would think it's better to take it off now for a temp fix while you figure something out.
I thought about that but if he's not rubbing the wheel wells he might after installing larger wheel spacers.

Are the springs in your setup fairly stiff? I upgraded springs and added 3 inches of lift and removed my sway bar at the same time and the ride is good but with a 6 inch lift you may want to keep your sway bar and just add spacers. The body roll with a 6inch lift may be a little scarier then a 3inch lift

    What rims do you have?
    spacers are a cheaper fix

You guys are awesome ! thanks for all the quick responses, I have the 18x20 KMC rockstars. I was considering taking the sway bar off but I think it would be a bit safer leaving it on, I don't really wheel my truck. Hate to say but it is a pavement princess, Ive worked too hard to slam it into a tree haha! Id like to keep the safety of not having body roll on the highway just in case I have to make a quick turn to avoid something

I don't think there is an 18x20.. if there is I want to see pics! lol.. do you mean 18x10 or 20x8?
You're right I didn't notice that. Wheel spacers are a cheap fix, different wheels with different back spacing is also another fix.

Its weird tho, when I first got the wheels/tire setup their was about maybe 2-3cm of a gap between the tire and the sway bar end links. And after bringing it to the mechanic to get an engine issue resolved this is what I found ! instead of the 2-3cm gap its into the tire about 1.5 cm ! :( So I know the wheels/tires are a good setup , and that's not the problem. Im just wondering why at this point, of having the lift installed with the big tires for about 4-5 months now , that their is this problem happening. Maybe the tires have worn a bunch of componants down in the front end?

And 100 percent trying the wheel spacers, I have already ordered them.

2-3cm is not much distance. I would think you would rub even with that small of a distance between the tire and spindle at times on the road. not 100% on this. just my hypothesis
