Detroit Axle imports direct from China with little to no engineering. Moog is quite the opposite. Don't believe everything you read online.

Alright so I've just decided the hell with it. I'm going oem and will install them myself!

Currently using this set up for my steering. (Since 2018) Heim inner, to dom tube, to fj80 outer. I also built another set using gm 1ton outers.

Unbelievably strong! And not to bad of a process to make work.

I used TRQ and has no issues, price was good. Shipping was slow. No complaints after 20k

I wouldn't buy Moog after the experience I had years ago.

    Buy once cry once

My moog experiences are getting worse and worse. Even their sticker came off my tool box the other day.. they don't even make those well anymore.

Oh wow I didn't realize this thread was still alive.

I stopped being silly and went to OEM only. Especially on my Japanese 3rd gen.

I've found with many cheap tools and parts that the crappy grease they use is the culprit for early wear. This is especially true with Harbor freight stuff but still applies to truck parts. Put a quality lube in there and it will last longer.

What i did was knowing that i will end up replacing these parts over time. I slowing buy OEM part, one by one, so it didn't seem as bad as buying all four pieces at once... (inner and outer tie rods) ... carry some cheaper spare parts from ebay that will get me off the trail if i ever have too... ($60 buck )... FYI... buy OEM parts from an online source will save a few buck then walk into a dealer.... it doesn't matter how long the shipping take, because you're not waiting to replace these parts like yesterday....

I’m running the 6112/5160 with camburg UCA and need to replace my tie rods, both sides. Any better recommendations for aftermarket parts?

Oh ee emm. Or 555 like above.

Problem with 555 is they are bare metal. Will rust out super duper fast in any climate. Have to sand and paint them.
