Better shocks and some weight in the bed.

But other than that, maybe send a letter to your congress person, lol

I know there's not a lot of love for Craftsman, but the 1/2" and 3/8" torque wrenches are often on sale for $50 each - it looks like same components as the Dewalt. I had some older Craftsman torque wrenches and they were OK, the adjustment collar and lock was not good (could slip) but the new ones are a really good design and they come with a calibration certificate so must be accurate, right?

I've had a Craftsman 250# for probably a decade now. It works well enough for me and my truck hasn't exploded (yet?). I'm sure if I used it more often or more consistently, I'd spend the money for a nicer one. Only a few critical things I use it on (leaf spring hangers, U-bolts, crank pulley, etc...). Never once touched a lug nut with it.

Lever length (i.e. a 12-18 inch long torque wrench) magnifies the torque, so torquing something to 141 ft. lbs with your average torque wrench is actually pretty easy, even lying down under the truck.

For all Tacoma 6 lug models, yes. They might have a few "kits" which include the bolts IIRC (you should replace the bolts).

Because of the critical nature of this part and the fact that there are MULTIPLE part#s floating about (some with bolts, others without, etc), I suggest a call into your local toyota parts desk (don't have to order from them but at least you get a valid part#) or better yet, plug in your VIN number and look it up that way. Replace the bolts as well.

Most use McGeorge Toyota. I've lately been using Toyota of Colorado Springs for small orders. Here are both sites. Remember, use your VIN number to serch.

    OPTION 3 - Search by VIN#
