Anyone tried this? I have a small leak on the flange behind the cat, where the gasket has leaked. I tried just putting an exhaust sealant on it, but it falls off after a while. I dont really want to disassemble the thing to put a new gasket (but may eventually). Anyone just wrapped something in this tape for a temporary repair?

I've wrapped holes before and after the CAT, they eventually dry out and fall apart. so unless you want to replace yearly you may as well just replace the gasket. keep in mind you may not get a perfect seal if the flanges have worn away from environment

If you can find even a semi permanent fix you could be rich.

I have never found anything that can endure the thermal cycling plus the winter chemicals.

fix it correct or leave it alone.
