well, i'd like to also get some guys together to run the McGrew trail just outside of Obrien, OR. Its maybe 45 minutes west of Grants Pass on hwy 199. Looks to be around 3 1/2 hrs total drive for ya.

    http://www.oohva.org/ohv area pages/mcgrewtrail.html
Says there's a wet closure though, so I'd have to look into that.

I'd say a tad earlier or later would be better.... Those that have family traveling to visit may still have them around the day after christmas

I'd need to do more research before I could say one way or another. For example,
-Many sites say you need super-high clearance and the roads are only suitable for the most extreme drivers. Others say it's not that bad, and I've seen a pic of a Montero driving through just fine
-I think this would be best suited for a summer run. It's ~6 hours of trail, and it can drop 50 degrees overnight.

I have some pics from a buddy of mine, though:

better get some 4.10 gears swapped in the rear end so you can run 4x4 if you expect to go to either the McGrew or Browns camp trail runs!

 at those pics! Thanks for posting those up, Mike. I was in contact with a guy off TTORA that went this summer(the weekend we met at browns camp) and he ran it with a 1st gen with a 3" lift and on 33's. He seemed to think it wasnt all that bad either.
