    Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum but not new to Toyota. I just purchases a 2012 TRD Offroad in Pyrite Mica in southern Cali. Great truck, it was previously a one owner who bought it in socal. Im origionally from Maine and I'm not use to how CLEAN california vehicle are...I'm use to rust. So buying a truck out here is a treat. There weren't even any rust on the bolt heads. so nice. Anyway...

My previous truck was a 1989 Landcruiser (FJ62). The truck had just under 200K and a H55F 5 speed. I needed to sell it for something a little more "reliable" and "practical" so I opted for a Tacoma!

Here is a link to more pics of the Landcruiser if anyone is interested.

The name just happened, so here is Tilly...

Ill update the thread with pics and info as I do mods.

So a few updates to add as Im on the computer still... I called Pelfreybuilt down south in San Diego, as I wanted to mount a Front Runner rack to the access cab. Which Iv'e noticed with my research not many people have done this for second gen tacomas...So Pelfrey designed a mount for the FrontRunner rack that replicates the double cab FR mount. It mounts right in the ditch/drip edge on the truck just like the double cab. Anyway they were great and I purchased a Front Runner rack and the Mounting bracket for the access cab. As soon as i get it mounted ill post pics. Along with the rack I got a 40" LED single row light bar to go up front.

I was going to get the Prisnu rack but I just didn't like the design, It was a little too rugged. I like the simplicity of the Frontrunner.

Man that Landcruiser was an absolute beauty. Good luck on the new build. I really like the tan Softtopper with the Pyrite Mica.

Ordered a set of weathertech rain guards. These are the in channel type, makes it for a much cleaner a simple install. At first i thought i was going to break them trying to install them cause i had to bend them so much, but just follow the instructions and it went in smoothly. only down fall is if you get dirt anywhere in the channel it starts to scratch them pretty well... but a good whip with a microfiber every now and then does the trick.

Great Looking truck man. So as far as suspension all you have is the daystar 2.5" on the front. Everything else stock?

Correct just the 2.5 Daystar spacer lift. Couldn't afford what I truly wanted... (of course) haha

I ended up going with a 2" spacer. Gave me the look I wanted. Now to get a little more wear out of my stock 265/65R17s and get something a little bigger. What size are you running?
