Tilt cab and bed to get to the top of the frame?

    I have one, it even kind of sucks for cleaning dryer lint, it DEFINATELY wouldn't tackle metal prep in my experience.

    Would unbolting the bed and sliding it back a few inches be possible? I'm interested in getting access to the cabin vets that are between the cab and bed. Seems like I would need 4-6 inches of clearance to get them out.

    You'll still need to disconnect everything on the bed (wiring, filler neck, etc) in order to do that. You'll also hit the front of the wheel well on the tire after a few inches. At that point it would be easier to just pick the whole thing off.

    Maybe they changed the formula to meet new environmental standards. It was 20 years ago the last time I used it.
