How come a Christian praying gets ridiculed but a Muslim praying gets revered by the media?

 

I honestly don't have a problem with him being religious. He's hardly the first football player to be overtly religious. (See: Reggie White, Kurt Warner, etc.)

As was discussed yesterday, the media bandwagoning (Today, CBS This Morning, E!) of him solely because of his religiousness is annoying, as are the people who make him out to be the next coming of Christ. For the most part he's been humble, thanking God and his teammates, and accepting blame when he fails.

Thing is, people need to realize he's a.) not a very good QB, and b.) just a football player.

The problem is that the one thing more fanatical than religious zealots is NFL fans, and when you mix the two you get all kinds of craziness.

As I said before, though; Fuck Tom Brady. (yes, this is jealousy)

 

damn, this thread is all over the place: athletics, religion,...............even masturbation. tebow seems to bring that out in people. i'm a devout atheist, not agnostic, but even i admire tebow's humility. not everyday you see that in a professional athlete, or even a grown-up for that matter. the pats should win, but then again so should have the steelers

I like the Broncos. I like Tim Tebow. He has brought back an excitement that the team has been lacking for years. He had a short off season with the lock out last year and will be working with John Elway one on one this off season. That will speak for itself. As for the media, Tebow doesn't go looking for them... the media finds him, and he gives credit to his team, never taking credit for himself. Yes Tebow gives thanks to God....thats his right!

I AGREE!! also everyone hates on Tebow's completion rating, it may not be the greatest but look at Big Ben, how many fumbles, interceptions, and how many times was he sacked in the game. And before everyone says he was injured...must not have been enough because he got on the field.

Also how many times has Tebow raped someone or shot himself in the leg carrying an illegal gun?

 

i don't revere any type of religion as they are all retarded, i should say imo but, really c'mon a talking snake

This. Do not hate the guy because the media chooses to cover him so much. They know what they're going to get when they shove a mic in his face. If people are sicking of hearing his religious bs, the media can choose not to interview him so often. Its not like the guy is grabbing a microphone and running his mouth.
