1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
Got the rest of the plates welded on, welded the tie down points on, went ahead and made the rear gate.

Need to get hinges so I can mount it. Sheet metal thinking 18ga, mount the springs, mount axle, mount shocks, then get the jack mounted on the front.

Pictures of wanna be dimes. The gate all welds are 3 passes. The ones on the face of the gate will be flap disc smooth and will be adding gussets on the inner joints

No sir I'm a store manager for Autozone. Been doing side jobs for a while. Picked up a Lincoln 175hd off Craigslist 9 years ago and watched welding tips and tricks in YouTube. Burned through quite a bit of wire and metal before I got the hang of it.

Got some longer ones for the truck. It like the height I'm at now so I cut them down for the trailer. Springs are hung the rear hanger is only welded on the ends on the sides. Incase I have to move them once it gets loaded down. Jack mounted and picked up some hinges from the trailer shop.

Plan on getting the axle hung, gate mounted and shock tabs on.

What's everyone's thoughts so far. Am I headed in a good direction with it?

Ok wife went to bed early so I went to the garage. Got the axle holes drilled for the center pins and then had to stop with that due to the. U bolts being too long. Not enough thread

Small update. Most welding is done besides sheeting it in And shock mounts. Axle needs to be painted still and need to make some top plates. Losing motivation as the humidity cranks up here in Florida. Taking a brake from it for a little bit

Very nice! Started a trailer myself but not from scratch...I bought a cheap-o that I'll modify and reinforce as I go. I wanted to use it right away for a wheeling trip to keep the RTT off the truck and my lack of patience won out.

In for inspiration! Trailer for the RTT is the way to fly...

Wife was wondering why I had to have a trailer and complained about having to set up the tent every time we went trail riding. So the trailer will be able to sit and have everything in one

Here is how the floor will be layed out. Have one more 2x3 to put in the back just picked it up today. Talked with @allenfab about thickness for the sides. 11 ga floor with more bracing and 16ga for the sides and gate.
