    i am looking to replace my in take with a new CAI. The brands I am looking to buy are either K&N, aFe, and Volant. I needs some advice witch one should I get.

    I heard a lot from aFe. I called toytec and they didn't mention that one. Why is K&N getting slammed so much?

    Sadly I didn't do look in to it enough but they are getting blasted because they don't filter like any of the others. you will get sediment past the filter.

    K&N is open inside the engine bay and doesn't pull in cold air at all. It just sucks in the already hot air in the engine bay.

    AFR gets positive response as does Volant. Completely sealed system (like the stock intake).

    I've had both the 1st and 2nd gen TRD CAI's on my 2011.

    The gen was extremely loud, made by AFE for Toyota, the second gen version is fairly quiet.
