Car batteries are made by only a few manufacturers, like 3. Then they are sold to retailers like autozone, NAPA, Costco, Sams' Club, Walmart, Oreillys, Carquest, Interstate, AAA, OEMs, etc. I am running Sams club Energizers with great success. Oreilly batteries are good too. Optimas may be made by Optima and not the large suppliers so I can't speak for them.

Just get a battery that has a good price and good warranty, can't go wrong. I stick with Sam's Club because they offer both.

I have had pretty food success with AutoZones DLG they are good batteries and they have a food warranty on them 3 year free replacement and 5 year prorate... I use to work at AutoZone so i saw alot of what came back and what didnt come back and the 24F and the 27F seem to last at minimum the life of the warranty if not longer where as to some other group sizes dont seem to last as long... they also have a new barrery that im not too fimilular with because i didnt work there when they came out but there the Durlast Platinum batteries looks like there AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) but looks like they have less CCA and CA then the Gold so IDK...

Specs, warranty and price, you'll be fine. Dont listen to the dudes touting/recommending $250+ batteries, complete waste of money.

No kidding. It would have to have a mighty good warranty for that price.

They up the free replacement by a year, but my Costco didn't carry the Interstate 27F. I found it reasonably priced by shopping around. Personally, I wouldn't let them sell you on the 24F.

I had to look them up. It looks like a pretty stout battery. What kind of life do you get out of them?

The warranty really is what matters here. Don't get caught up in the brand name BS. Most batteries are pretty similar in construction.

    Yep - Costco Interstate battery - around $79 for a 3 yr. no-replacement-cost battery.
