Well I think it is finally time to retire my 89 4wd long bed. Bought it new ($12,000) and it has been a great truck, once I replaced everything.

I am getting old now and want my amenities, power windows, cruise control, auto trans and a shell that does not leak, V6 power.

Waiting for the 2014 model. Trying to decide between double or extended cab. leaning to extended for the bigger bed. If I did not have to deal with a 1/2 acre I would probably do the double.

I am really splurging and going for all the bells and whistles this time.

I hope all the redesign stuff I keep reading about is true.

Really? Ooh did I miss something? Would love more info in the 15's. Can we see the link please? :)

Welcome to TW, toes! If this 15 has a lot of changes, maybe that will be two of us with new trucks!

You can still get a double cab with the 6ft. bed on it. I'd recommend that one because its sure nice having that extra room in the back seats.

Can't wait for the 15s. The long bed double is great but "huge". Not sure I want something that big.

I saw pictures of the 15 and it does look waaaay different. But I keep putting off and I'm not getting any younger.

I keep reading that a 6 sp auto will be available for the 2014 but the Toyota build site on has 6sp man. and 5 sp. auto.

Called the dealer and they have a few 14s so I going to look at them tomorrow. It well probably be the access cab. Really dread the salesman stuff.

Scary, this is the first new unit for me since I bought my 89. (insert Jaws theme song)!

Why don't you look at a leftover 13, and save a bit of money over a 14. Then if there is changes for the 15, trade in... Now that's a big IF, there's change for the 15.
The only difference between 12,13, and the new 14, is the color blue changed, rest of the colors stayed the same. Otherwise really no major changes.

You probably could get a sweet deal on a '13 if you find one you really like. I got a good deal on my '13 Access Cab TRD Off Road a couple weeks ago..it was the last TRD on the lot out of 4 total Tacomas. They hadn't got the '14s in yet either

Oh x2 on the dreaded salesman interaction!

Let us know what you end up with. The more I look at the snozz of the 12-on models, the more I prefer it over my 07's. I have seen some DCLBs around here in Pensacola...they're literally the size of Switzerland.
