Bad workmanship, that happened to my friend's Accord. It didn't show up until a few weeks after the bodywork was done. Don't remember the exact cause but "impatience" had a lot to do with it . I'll try to find out from him what was the exact cause.

And to add to Colin's posts.... If you feel the top of the fender ( it feels like it should. has that consistant feel)to where the paint is wearing off(it goes very smooth).

And the part on the door.. It feels like straight up sandpaper.. and I noticed that rocker panel is kindof caved in

OH dude no doubt the previous owner had an accident with my truck, not a major one, but im guess he was probably turning sharp around i guess a concrete poll (like the yellow ones you see in parking lots) and the probably cliped it right there. I talked to my dad and he said we will se what prices are and see if we can respray the truck, because i would rather get a new paint job than a lift for sure. my brothers 99 4Runner has 128K and a scratched up paint job, his suv isnt even showing signs of paint wear, and he hardly waxes it, wait he never does.... i do it. Lents your truck has 80K and even your truck has less scratches and a better paint job than my truck

Thats a good possiblity. Very well have happened. and he just used his money to get it fixed.

I think you just got one of those (1 and 100) trucks with a flaw.

Some is the paint job, some is the steering, Transmission problems, etc. Most manufacturers have that problems. Its nothing uncommon.

I havent waxed or clay barred my truck in half a year. It feels awful when I wash it.:(

Was that ToyoGuard the only wax that youve used?

I was told ToyoGuard WAS THE ONLY THING I SHOULD USE ON MY TRUCK, which i follow those directions. GAH i hate that my truck is falling apart, first my paint then my temp gauge, and i swear my hood was gonna blow off on the highway yesterday, maybe these trucks arent built for doing 80-90 mph while there are extremely high winds blowing. Today i had the thought about selling my truck and getting something else :eek:

I would try the NXT tech wax next time... That might be why my paint looks a little better. I would try and do what that guy said to adjust the hood latch. It may be set too high, When I popped you hood at the tailgate spot I did notice that your latch was very high up from mine.

Trust me Colin Ive had numerous twigs, rocks, branches, etc hit my truck on trails.

Ive had alot of those moments lately:eek:. I really would like to have something like this:
