Rear brake shoes, that is. OEM preferred, but O'Reilly's is right down the road...
    Any breaking brake news?

Just did rear brakes on my 02 after 500K. I went with OEM, they are a little higher but if the originals went 500K i will just stick with them. The original shoes still look fine but i had to change the rear axle bearings and since i was already there i went ahead a changed them.

Hopefully you have them adjusted so they actually engage now.

I mean 100k is fairly common, but 500k.

Just had to adjust the parking brakes a couple of times. You adjust the service brakes every time you set the parking brake so they should stay in adjustment until the shoes are warn out.

Rear drums don't do a heck of a lot so they last a long time. $70 out the door for OEM rear shoes at the local dealer.

Brake shoes cost about the same, so OEM from the dealer I hate. New brake hardware from O'Reilly's. About $100.
Probably don't need new hardware but I will be doing the job out in the desert. One lost part, one sprung spring and that's all she wrote. Forgetting a simple thing like M8-1.25 bolts to get the drums off causes problem$.
