I guarantee you’re not being more honest than I’m being because I’m certainly not a “Toyota fan boy”. I have on the other hand been lucky enough to have a job where I was primarily paid to drive off road in almost every type of domestic off road vehicle made. It’s why I pretty much have only been driving Toyota’s for around the past thirty something years.

Toyota quality is far and beyond that of domestic auto makers. They are not problem free - nothing is - but way more problem free than the domestics are.

Yes, exactly what I said. What does that have to do with mechanical issues or reliability? Oh and thank’s a heap for proving my point about me not being a Toyota fan boy...

I love how he’s going through peoples prior posts to find something he can use against us...

right it is, and an honest opinion. Based on factual experiences. This is a forum right? I don’t have to go with the flow.

How am I not being honest? Should I just start blasting all the dealer repair notes on here? No absolutely not. Like I said you can PM me and ask me questions, but I’m not going to pull a Smitty and start posting pictures of everything wrong with my Toyota’s...

You sound bitter. The fact that you had issues with your Toyota does not make them all unreliable. You seem to want to convince everyone otherwise but the majority of people are telling you they have not experienced what you are claiming. That’s the bottom line.

Does it look like I’m bitter? All trucks in the family.....you could say I’m happy to be a Toyota owner or else I wouldn’t continue to buy them.

And like I said all immediate family, not your neighbors dog walker.

LMAO, so let me get this straight, Toyota’s aren’t any better than domestics yet that’s all you and you’re entire family drives - and I got it - not the dog walkers.

You might want to see a doctor about the multipolar thing you have going cause you’re all over the map.

Yes, Toyota built a worldwide reputation for mechanical reliability on the posts of four people - all on this thread by the way...

well I recently got this, so I wouldn’t say it’s just Toyota now. I needed something good on gas. Do I expect it to be the same quality truck as a tundra? No, but for the price and averaging 26 mpg I couldn’t pass it up.

how am I all over the map? Because I don’t claim Toyota is problem free? This is TW, yes people make it seem they have a lemon. I’m not saying that. All I am saying is I have experience and just like the OVTune thread, rear diff leak thread, brake light leak and so on it’s an option to help people.

it helps people out so they know how to present it to the dealership or mechanic. Let’s be real if you go into a dealer now without knowing what the issue is they will figure it out on your dime.

So what else do you have for me bud.

Good luck. My family has been all Jeeps, Subarus, and Toyotas. I was the last one to give up on Jeeps. When your truck has to be limped to the dealer for the 3rd time and you get “oh yeah they all do that” you’ll understand. FCA is also fucking awful to deal with so I hope you have a good dealer. Tacoma’s might not be as reliable as old Toyota’s but that’s not what people cross shop. I really loved the Gladiator I had as a loaner but I love actually being able to take my truck places without it breaking even more.

I don’t blame you. They are super nice trucks at a really good price. I just hope yours is better than, well, everyone I know’s. Lol

Ok’ I get it now. You just like to troll and argue and that’s why you bounce all over the place. You also sure seem to have an overinflated sense of importance. I haven’t got shit for you why would I? Your “experience” means dick to me.

After peeling white paint and a third brake light leak I would not buy another new Tacoma. Reading about the needle bearing thing mine may be on the way out too so that’s another one.

Strange. 2 of my buddies own super white tacos, 17 and 19. 17 has 65k miles by the way and no issues with paint on both trucks.

Also everyone I know that drives a taco had no issues with leaking 3rd brake light. Canadian trucks were all made in Texas up to 2020 I believe, maybe that makes a difference?
