Can't believe I watched this. Yeah, the Tacoma really owned that Chevy at having larger tires. It dominated that last obstacle so hard that the people waiting in line gave up and left. The ZR2 wished its tail gate could fall off like the Tacoma's did.

Lmao. Only one truck got up the obstacle. And it wasn't the Chevy. So yup. OWNED. You could literally sell your Taco and get the Chevy no extra. You should do it. :D

Interrupting this slap fight a bit: hopefully we can all agree that the Ranger is the ugliest truck, no?

I think the Tampon On Wheels Ridgeline owns that title hands down, but the Ranger is not too distant behind.

Excuse me?! Are you saying the Ranger is better at being ugly than my Tacoma? The Tacoma is better in EVERY way!

Man, I gotta get my eyes checked. I don't think the ranger is so bad. And I love the Tacoma. Lol

I really enjoy TFL. All of their channels. Plus, each time I've emailed them asking for their opinion, they have responded within a day. Andre owns a 1st gen Tacoma (or did at least). Yeah, they have a specific style but I dig it. Seeing Tommy turn into the presenter he has over the last few years has been fun to watch. To me, they seem like genuinely good dudes I'd like crack a cold one with.

Just saying I'm not sure how you can make any real conclusions about the capability of the two trucks based off of that video.

I love the part about them being called "bumbling fellas".
    I love my third gen!

Tampons are probably more aerodynamic than the Ridgeline but your point stands.

Another thing people have to realize is that for some reason, auto journalist really seem to dig on Lexus and Toyota. I really don't know why.

I would say it is western bias, but this doesn't apply to Honda and Nissan as much.

Auto journalist just simply hate what Toyota represents, which is practicality and reliability as a number one priority.

There is no passion, thrill or any other emotion with Toyota (and Lexus) vehicles. At least in their eyes.

People will praise German engineering as the zenith of the automotive industry. In all honesty, the most impressively engineered vehicle in the world is the Toyota Landcruiser /Lexus LX. I really don't think there is any argument in that.

You can't. I agree. But since that is what everyone else does, why not. Lol.

I don't think so. My '99 shifts WAY smoother than my '20. Could be that it has 268000 miles on it but it shifts much smoother and faster.

The very first thing l noticed about my 17 was how much easier and smoother the shifter operated compared to my 3 previous Tacoma's. But l can see how your old 99 would be nice and smooth too since you have it broken in a little!

Insulting the 3rd gen goes over like visiting a coworker's wife while he's been sent to India on a month long assignment. I just hope he left good scotch

Put AT in the bold and you have my truck. Trucks not perfect and I have modded it to fit my liking, but it's a strange mix of TW whiners and actual problems. It's hard to navigate through stuff some times.
