I had the bfg all terrains before my grabbers and didnt like them they wore crazy fast going up and down the mountain and didn't do aswell as I thought they would in the snow

had BFG AT's before the grabbers. they're a much better all around tire for a DD truck. i'm prolly going to get them again once my grabbers are dead

the grabbers would be great for a strict off road/desert truck that doesn't see DD duty and paved roads...

BFG's pit fall is their lack of performance on wet stuff... they kinda suck there.

i will give the grabbers credit for not wearing fast at all, and my alignment is muffed up to hell and i'm not getting any abnormal tread wear...

how do the grabbers do in snow?

They did well in the snow but I heard nothing but negative stuff about the generals in snow so i wasent expecting much but they definatly suprised me, they did better then my bfg but given the bfg were getting low on tread when I got to compare them in the same winter

I just picked up some Mickey Thompson Baja STZ's. So far minimal road noise, and they ride nice. They look more agressive then they ride. On sale at Tire Buyer, $600 delivered, plus a $50 rebate card. :D

I'm running Bridgestone Revo 2's At's and they are the best tire I've ever owned. Pricey at $172/tire, but they've given me good road manners and great grip and I wearing very well.

X 2. I'm surprised it took 35 posts for someone to mention them. I've run 3 sets of Revo's and now a set of Revo II's and they're by far the best tire I have ever run. Compared to BFG AT's, they ride similar but quieter. They wear about equal with BFG's. I took off my last set of Revos with 70,000 miles on them and sold them for $150. Revos have excellent road manners especially in wet conditions and decent offroad, again comparable to BFG. I found Revos are $35-$50. cheaper than BFG.

the nitto trail grappler m/t is a great tire

the goodyear duratrac is one of the best light truck tires ever invented

as far as personal experience goes i would say both are better than the bfg's however dissimilar they are.

a tire i want to try though is the copper stt m/t very similar to the mickey thompson and from what i hear they do great just about anywhere. they are very popular in australia so i would imagine they don't dig you down in the sand like you would expect from a m/t tire.
