I know this info is out there, but there is so much info, it’s confusing me. I need new tires to pass state inspection and my current sticker is dead, so I gotta get it done. My truck is a stock 2020 Tacoma SR double cab. I’m going with Falken Rubitrex tires, which come in 265/70/16(30.6x10.8) and 265/75/16(31.7x10.6). I prefer the taller tire, but want to be sure there will be no rubbing. Will both these sizes work without rubbing? While getting tires, I’d also like to upgrade my wheels from the stock steel wheels. I saw in a sticky here the dimensions for my stock wheels are 16x7 +30mm??. Does that have to be exactly the same or is there some flexibility there? I don’t want them sticking out from the body. Thanks much for any info…

On stock rims the 265/75R16 fits fine.
Your best bet is to look into rims that have the same offset as the stock rims.

@JAB123 a 265/75R16 is a taller tire and if your not partial to the mud flaps you will be ok. Aftermarket wheels with a zero offset pokes the assembly even with the fenders but not out of the fender. Most aftermarket wheel options will be 0 to +10.

Thanks! I found some Toyota wheels I like and think I’ll go with those to keep it simple.
