Hey all! I am looking into a 2007 Tacoma Sport and it’s at a really good price. The problem is the condition of it currently. I was hoping someone out there wouldn’t mind giving me a call so I can run a couple things by them. Anyone?!

Don’t have pics. Major issue that I know of so far is that when hooked up to a battery (my other Tacoma, via jumper cables) I get lights but nothing when I turn the key, nothing. 133,000 miles on it.

    Maybe bad starter or solenoid?

I don’t think many mechanics do free diagnostic work.

If I could get it there I would. Just trying to see if it is worth the $3000

That’s kind of what I was thinking but I don’t want to dive into it if the transmission is shot or anything like that.

A '07 TRD sport is worth more than $3,000 for parts, especially if it's 4WD.

Disclaimer: If the frame has rust holes and it's beyond 12 years from date of 1st use, it IS a parts truck.

So checking the frame, it has rust but I don’t think to the extent that it is beyond surface.

Check by the catalytic converters. That’s the most common spot for rust holes. If it is run.

If this light is still blinking after you turn the key on, you don't have the right key for the truck, or there's something wrong with the imobilizer system.

You guys are Lifesavers. I checked the passenger side frame right next to the catalytic converter and it was split I was able to bend it with the screwdriver. The other side was actually fine.

If it comes down to it, you could probably get $3000 for all the plastic parts in the cab.
For $3000, I'd buy it, even if it was broken in half.

So, there's an 93% chance that it was originally sold before 11/18/2007 and it's too late for a free frame. That's probably why it's so cheap. If you buy it and part it out, you can probably make some money on it, but it's a lot of work and a lot of hassle dealing with random Craigslist flakes.

Money can be made for sure. Unless your willing to swap a frame or part out it’s likely not worth or time

For that much money I’d buy it. Throw a frame under it. Sell it for profit.
