Just got some new wheels and tires put on, 20x10’s and 295/55/20’s, and of course I’ve gotta do some trimming. This is my first time doing this so what’s the best approach to this?

Figure out where it rubs and cut there, lol.

But seriously, figure out if you want to stop it from rubbing just enough to not bug you driving on the street and in parking lots, or if you want it to not rub *at all* like at full compression and full steering lock. Where and how much depends on a lot of other things, too, like your wheel backspacing/offset, what upper control arms you're running, various other things.

If you just want it to not bug you driving on the road, that's a lot easier and won't require as much trimming. But if you want it to not rub at all, jack it up, remove the shocks and start hacking away where the tires rub. Use a jack to push the tire all the way to the bumpstops (full compression, again, without the shocks) and trim.

You'll likely need at least the pinch weld mod. You usually don't need to start tubbing the body until you run 35's.

You should be able to get away with just doing the “pinch weld mod” and trimming the flares and wheel well liners a bit. Are you lifted at all?

Got 2.5” bilstein lift up front waiting on the shocks for the back, I have a dent in my front bumper on the passenger side making it run the bumper just a little, but most of the rubbing is on the bottom part of the fender liner. How do you do the pinch weld mod?

Looks like those wheels have some decent BS so you prob won't have to worry about rubbing the frame, the trade off is you'll rub on the pinch weld and front fender. I'd also take a look at the passenger side, as the windshield fluid res will prob rub as well

Yeah, there's an easy fix for that:

get a reservoir for an earlier 2wd model, and go. If you have ABS, all you have to do is bend the bracket a little, and use a riv-nut to relocate the bracket a little. I also drilled a hole in the tank to fit my oem pump/fluid level sensor.
