    I want to replace my shocks and struts and maybe front coil springs. I have an 01 prerunner, thinking bilsteins 4600 or 5100. Does anyone offer a total package for all the parts I need for front and rear? I am also considering replacing the leaf springs as well. I am going for stock height here.

    for leafs go to general and get the general HD leafs http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/90-237hd.htm

    for the struts go with these: http://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/monroe,171352R,strut+/+coil+spring+/+mount+assembly,15174

    the Monroe Quick Strut 171352R and 171352L will get you back to factory new ride, if you dont have a lift then bilstiens wont do anything more for you but cost more

    for the rear check out the list on rock auto, find what you like, then google to see if there is a better price anywhere. often, but not always, the rock has the best prices on parts you change often, when you get to seldom changed parts that can change.

    I eplaced my entire suspension with the Monroe quick struts, general hd leafs, and Gabriel hd rear shocks and the truck rides like it just left the factory plus it doesn't sag when I put something in the bed

    @keakar

    Do you think the monroes are okay? I haven't heard anything good about them but they are budget friendly.

    I wouldn't put Monroes on my truck. Since you have a Pre-runner, get the yellow 4600 series Bilsteins. Some elitists talk ish about them, but they are actually awesome for stock height.

    Looks like the 5100's are the same price. What do you think about the comparison of the two?

    I haven't any experience with the 5100s, but I heard they are better if you have some additional lift.

    Wheelers is a good place to buy. They are good guys to talk to about their products and tacomas and runners in general.

    I've had a set of the Monroes on my truck for about 3.5 years (25k miles) now. They're ok I guess but they've always seemed to ride rough on trails and be a little squishy on the highway.

    I used the Monroe as well. Nothing to get excited about, they were cheap and seem to be holding up so far. About 2 years, 7000 miles. I really regret going with oem leafs, it was before my TW days. Too much of a cheap ass to replace the new ones.

    I hadn't really shopped around. The truck had a broken leaf on each side when I got it. Since I didn't want to lift it and didn't know any better, I just ordered OEM parts and installed them. As soon as I set my truck back on the ground, those things flattened out like they were 20 years old.

    I slapped a 550 lb helper on each side instead of buying new leaf packs. Ride is not ideal, but they worked pretty good. If I ever do it over, I'm getting the general hd's.

    nothing at all
    4600's are great shocks for stock ride height and stock rated coils/leafs. The 5100's are going to feel stiffer because they are designed to be ran at a slight lift, with a higher load rated coil in the front AND a minimum of 1" lift in the rear, which requires a slightly stiffer shock. That said, the 5100's with a nice coil and 1 or 2" add-a-leaf or even block in the rear would give you a nice mild lift/level, a pretty capable, pretty cheap suspension system, and room to fit a larger tire size. Great for added front end weight, i.e winch, bumper, grill guard. I reccomend either shock highly.
