From my experience, i noticed a decrease in visibility after switching to led headlights (i think it was due to the color 6000k). The best light color ive noticed for fog would be amber/yellow or about 3000k. I have some piaa 520s (fog lights) with the ion crystal lens which is a yellow tint and theyre great in fog and inclement weather

Yep. Plus the fog version (brighter than the Xbs):
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-foglight-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.435419/

And comparing to high power LEDs:

'Ultra white' 6000k style lights are not ideal for night vision (most LEDs). Far better night vision and poor weather vision is had in the lower temperature spectrums.
