I like the idea from Back to the Future where he gets the sports almanac so he knows the outcome of all sporting events for the next many years. Since I can't travel to the future, then back, the next best thing is to grab a current sports almanac (and a financial almanac) and go into the past.

Yeah... I enjoy modern technology too much to go too far back. I could make PLENTY of money knowing the financial markets and sporting event outcomes between 1980 and 2010... so I think I'd go back to '80.

Interesting thread. It's remarkable how many people choose the past. And from the comments most seemed to choose their own past.

I voted for the past too, but I would want to go back in time and see something epic like when the Greeks battled the Trojans, or the Romans empire expanding. I'd also like to experience nature without any light or air pollution. Perhaps go back in time and meet Jesus or some other influential people in History.

It would be amazing to be able to see things way back in time, like how and why the pyramids where built, Easter island, Stone henge when it was fully built, the hanging gardens, the mayans and what happend to them!
All those things would be amazing and I dont think I could just pick one.

You are wrong! The attack took place on December 7, 1941.

    This is correct!

You did not fail, you were correct.

Put down the bong dude, you've had enough. Time to share that shit.
I'd say the past for gambling and investing purposes. I hope my Mom wouldn't want to bang me like McFly.

Hawking has an incredible mind! he has been places in his mind that most people will never or could never even conceive! Time travel through tiny worm holes or through black holes in space?! It's hard to even fathom those things. He conmunicates thorugh BLINKING! that is an epic _____ (insert whatever word that has not been invented yet) by itself!

titanic wang where they have epic sword fights with their penises?

it was the butterfly effect. The movie Time Machine has the same concept. His girlfriend dies, he tries to go back and save her but she keps dying but in diferent ways each time.
