    Shift Sense Pro, HomeLink Mirror, Screen Protector, Tinted Windows, Now onto the expensive stuff
    At least I didn’t reopen this one.

    old post , new post... anyway, the rubber in the belts breaks down over time due to ozone and the manufacturer has to have some way of estimating the service life of the product so they use mileage because it is easy to check by looking at the odometer.

    Factory uses mileage AND time. Timing belts should be replaced at 90k miles OR 9 years.

    The belt could have 20k miles on it, but if it's a 1st gen it's got like double the amount of TIME on it than is should.
