timing belt questions

    hey i was wondering what you guys think of the stealer ship telling me that when i do my timing belt i should do my water pump also?
    does that seem right

    yes, they're typically done at the same time as they have about the same life-expectancy. you're already that far into the engine, so you save the cost of labor doing both at the same time.

    ok thanks that what i thought, they are doin if for 600 out the door with timing belt and water pump seems pretty fair

    make sure they change the thermostat, pcv valve, and the drive belts if needed. ...good time to get all that out of the way. ...going rate is $600-$800 for everything. ...you may also want to ask for a 10% discount. ...they'll usually agree.

    just got it back from the stealer ship, they did a good job changed everything that they said they would and than they did a factory undercoating. They did a pretty good job i am impressed but they guy said its not going to dry up, has anyone else done that factory undercoating? and has it dried to the touch where you wont get it on you if you work on your truck, cause if it dont dry i will be pretty pissed
