I've got the known timing chain cover seep. It's not bad, it leaks about a 1/2 quart every 5000 miles or so. Certainly nothing to get excited about and start tearing into it. Just an annoyance.
Has anyone tried cleaning it real well and smearing a wedge of high temp RTV around the cover? If so, how did it work out? I'm gonna give it a shot this weekend.
