What year and engine do you have? I assume 2/3RZ-FE. According to the factory repair manual you need to remove the oil pan and cylinder head to take the timing chain cover off. Why do you need to remove the cover?

Did your cousin take the oil pan off to take the timing chain cover off?

I just finished putting my timing cover back on.
I dropped the oil pan and let it rest on the front diff. You have to remove the oil strainer nuts in front to remove the timing cover. I slipped the strainer tube off the studs
