    Nice dent in passenger side
    Hello,

I have a 99 Tocoma with 2RZ-FE engine. Changing the timing chain. the crankshaft gear has a gear behind it (on the crankshaft closer to the block) that is not on my diaphragm. Can anyone tell me what the gear is and what it is for.

Bought timing chain set...the gear to replace this same gear is not the same....the original has teeth but there is a flat side....the new one has no flat side just teeth and seems a hair smaller in diameter. The Autoparts guys swear it is the right part. The gear in paragraph one is the same part as the one in paragraph 2. Thanks for your help.

    Tom

I cannot help you as I'm not familiar with the 2rz but I will tell you that I wouldn't buy any timing components from Anywhere buy a Toyota dealer
