Timing Chain Replacement Necessary ??

    I've just rolled over 300,000 recently. Who here is over 300K and still using the original timing chain ??
    I was under the impression timing chain is good for the life of the engine.

    You are correct, regular proper oil changes and that timing chain will never give you an issue. I believe it will throw a vvti code if chains stretch too much

    Yeah. You should get a Cam/Crank Correlation code. P0018 / P0016
    I believe the allowance is 5* CA between the Cam/Crank. (Desired / Actual)
