What I’m seeing is that there are two bolts holding the power steering? Am I going to have to remove the belt too? Just wanting some confirmation before attempting this.

I used this stuff from Permatex a few months ago in that area. Still dry as a bone.

So the leak is coming from here now (or always has been). Anyone know what might be causing that?

Sprayed it down with brake clean, then watched it start leaking from there? Nothing higher or somewhere else?

If so. Then that is the head gasket.

Can see the point of the leak right here.

Need to clean it up, and re-apply.

Exactly what I did 15 minutes ago. Hopefully it does the trick this time.

Been a while since I've been on, glad to see a few have tried and had good results, since that post I ended up doing head gaskets it had been gurgling for almost a year and I was in denial, never over heated, so eventually I had time to lay the truck up for repairs, while heads were off being machined I also changed out the chains/tensioners etc. during reassembly, I noticed the timing cover has a low spot machined into it, right near the power steering pump area, I'm thinking its a casting or manufacturing fault seeing as it seems like they only leak from the same area, so I was a little extra generous with the "right stuff" (I used the black version) and I also ran a skim on the outside for good measure. I did make a separate post about my findings. if you lay a straight edge along the mating surface on the cover its about an inch long and a mm or more deep, see below link

I just used the blue devil stop leak and as of this day I have no leaks. It has been about 4 months now that I have used it and no problems.

This is the spot where the depression in the timing cover that leaks is, which you refer to.
