My name is Roy and happy to join Tacoma world. I have a 2016 Tacoma V6 TRD Sport 2wd and had my timing cover reseal at 98,700 miles, paid $4000 dollars and got 12months /12,000 miles warranty. It leaked again resealed and resealed again and the third time Toyota said my timing cover had cracks, and it cost $900 dollars. Has anyone had cracks on cover?

Its likely them throwing in the towel. On the older 2GRs we used to replace the cover if it leaked more than once.

If I got your truck I would 100% replace the cover, its the right call, but usually its due to warpage or excessive clearance.

    I agree.
    That’s a BIG job.
And they aren’t going to eat the labor a 3rd time without NEW parts.
    And I don’t blame them…….

Something is wrong if it keeps leaking.
    New parts are justified here.
