Same with my wife's Highlander. Bought it last September. Inventory was still decent but sales were slow so they were will to make a good deal.

yeah same they wanted seemed to be willing to do a fair deal if they could find you a truck. seemed like the day I picked it up they didn't have many customers then. the 0% covid offers were over too.

Well I finally ended up making the decision to claim a new Tacoma. A local dealer has a red SR V6 access cab coming in with the SX package. They're selling it at MSRP plus 300 in dealer fees.

With the SX package being discontinued on the SRs this year, this kind of felt like my last chance to get a new Toyota at that low of a price.

Still driving the FJ, so I'll try to sell it privately before the tacoma shows up in September.

Try to swing the Taco purchase without selling the FJ! I have an 07 FJ and bought my Taco OR to preserve the miles on the FJ. FJ's are quickly reaching collector status given they only made them for seven years so might be worth hanging on to.

My FJ is one of the coolest and functional vehicles I have ever owned and I will keep it until either it or I go Tango Uniform.

Sell your FJ to a private party, and then buy Tacoma from private party. Avoid dealers at any cost!!! I'm telling this from my own long experience with car dealers.

Two posts up OP says he's buying new. The dealer is where you buy brand new Toyotas.

Maybe keep the FJ for another year if finances allow. The 4th Gens should arrive fall of 2023 (3rd Gens arrived in the fall of 2015). You will have had your 3rd Gen for a year at that time and can re-access if you want to part with one or both or neither.

FJ Japanese Hummer they called them when they first came out. A friend bought in 2007 and still drives and loves it. Never any real issues other than wear and tear. Worth keeping as many have said it will be a collectors item. Congrats on the new Tacoma you will love it.
